Marni Sloves
Marni Alyse Sloves is a self-taught San Mateo based contemporary abstract artist. Marni has trained as a teacher, currently specializing in Arts Education. She teaches 5-12-year-olds in order to help them foster the same enthusiasm that she has for the visual arts. Marni realized that even outside of the classroom, expressing her creative side is where her true passion lies. Originally creating one-of-a-kind pieces for her own home, Marni’s friends began commissioning paintings and other items for their homes and offices. She loves to work with bright, bold color palettes and various textures. She continually experiments with different mediums striving to create unique pieces. This drive to create combined with her love of making other people smile when they walk into their environment, guides her artistic journey. Marni's artwork has been shown in juried exhibitions in San Francisco and the Peninsula.
