October on the coast means light that arrives at a lower angle, a particular stillness, the mood of a season turning inward. The work in this exhibition follows that turn.
These artists have been shaped by different worlds: the California coastline, the Persian tradition, the layered geometry of digital art, floral abstraction turned inside out, the half-awake hours between dream and morning. What they share is an interest in the interior: the states that live alongside the external world, the emotions that don’t have easy names, the beauty that arrives through atmosphere rather than description.
