Living in Northern California presents rare and pristine areas of unsurpassed landscape and seascape terrain. I am continually inspired by these landscapes and use photography to document and convey this beauty for others to see.
Many wild and natural landscapes have disappeared due to development. Throughout history, photography has been a medium to help document and educate about natural landscapes globally, communicating the importance of preserving and protecting the natural beauty of these environments.
The ocean and surrounding areas offer a diverse eco system such as the tide pools teaming with sea life, long stretches of sandy beaches and rocky shores, and fishing villages often enshrouded in fog. The inland countryside with charming small towns surrounded by vineyards and the dramatic Sierra Nevada mountains with the treasured Lake Tahoe.
These eco systems within the ocean and its surrounding areas are delicate and fragile. They require constant vigilance to help maintain and protect their resources. I hope through photography we can help to preserve and communicate its unique timelessness and importance to the world.
